Terms

Last updated: April 2026

These terms govern your use of Promptly, a macOS desktop application ("the Software") and the website at trypromptly.io ("the Site"). By installing or using Promptly, you agree to these terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Promptly on Macs you own or control, for the duration of your paid subscription (or during the free trial period). You may not redistribute, resell, decompile, or reverse engineer the Software, or bypass the subscription check.

Subscription and billing

Free trial

New users get a 3-day free trial of Go Live (the voice-tracked presentation session). The trial does not require a credit card and starts on first install. After the trial, Go Live requires an active subscription; the script editor remains available.

Refunds

If Promptly is not working for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund the charge. Refunds are handled through Lemon Squeezy.

Acceptable use

Don't use Promptly to harass, defraud, or impersonate others, or to violate the terms of any call platform you're using (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams). You are responsible for disclosing the use of AI or teleprompter tools where required by law or by the party you're speaking with.

No warranty

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Voice recognition is statistical and can be wrong. Do not rely on Promptly for situations where a missed cue or misread word would cause harm.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Promptly and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of the Software, including lost profits, lost business, or missed opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Promptly after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
